Panic at the elevator
I go to a fancy hotel for dinner with my husband and some other woman. When we get to the lobby the other people there are middle-aged and talking about all the partying they’ve been doing and how hung over they are. I think this is sad. I wait in the lobby while my husband takes my daughter to the elevator to get her set up in a hotel room where she can hang out while we have dinner. I haven’t really thought through this and they step into the elevator without me even getting to say goodbye to her. After they are gone I start to think about it and realize I am not at all comfortable with leaving her in a hotel room by herself for an hour. I frantically tried to call my husband to tell him not to leave her. While the phone is ringing the elevator door opens and I see my husband sitting at a table in a nice business suit. There are other people sitting at the table as well, eating. I tell him that I need to go get her. He is fine with that but doesn’t seem to understand my panic. As the elevator starts to go back up I start panicking more and feel like I can’t get back to her fast enough. I wake up before the elevator stops with my heart pounding.
