Darkness is my Friend

I am staying in a camp cabin with other adult campers. I’m trying to settle in but can’t because of various vague reasons like I need to go to the bathroom and I can’t find my rain jacket and need to remake my bed or something. The camp leaders come in and tell us that from now on we should keep a glowing rubber ducky in our pocket when we are walking around the camp at night as a safety measure. I think about it and then argue that this will make us easier to see and be followed by whoever would want to harm us. I explain that if I am trying to be safe then darkness is my friend. Then I break out into song “Hello darkness my old friend” as a way of driving my point home. I think this song has been playing earlier so I am referencing something that I know the camp leaders can’t argue with. They just kind of ignore me because they know I’m right. After everyone leaves the cabin I go into the bathroom and see that the drawers are stocked with really nice toiletries and hand towels. There is a woman there who tells me that she had been bringing nice toiletries for her daughter who is a camper but she had been taking them from her work and when her employer found out they told her that she needed to make the camp a client and start selling toiletries to them instead of giving them away for free. I think this is weird but also it feels nice to have nice toiletries at the cabin. There is one other person in the cabin and I whisper to them that I think it’s weird. Throughout the dream my dream persona is very sarcastic and I don’t care about fitting in or going along with the crowd.

(If this was your dream what would it be about? Comment below beginning with "If it was my dream..." or "In my imagined version of this dream...")
