GENEVIEVE CAMP
Genevieve’s first taste of Yoga Nidra back in 2007 was a profoundly spiritual experience and she has been a devoted practitioner ever since. In 2011 she completed yoga teacher training at the Amrit Yoga Institute and in 2014 became a Certified I AM Yoga Nidra™ facilitator. Genevieve spent several years teaching Yoga Nidra in yoga studios and mental health care settings before going into private practice. In 2023 she completed I AM Yoga Nidra™ Advanced Certification which focuses more on the spiritual aspects of the practice. Genevieve’s heart-felt mission (sankalpa) is to help people know and experience their true nature as divine, unconditional love.
What you’ll learn
-
Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is about so much more than just relaxation and mindfulness. It is a path to connect to your Higher Self, Soul, and Source that utilizes our natural ability to fall asleep to access expanded states of consciousness.
-
Yoga Nidra is rooted in an understanding of the body as sacred and the Koshas as a map of embodiment and liberation. By the end of the course you’ll also understand Sanskrit words such as tantra, prana, kosha, and sankalpa.
-
Through regular practice of Yoga Nidra you can access and embody more of your essence as a unique expression of divine consciousness. Yoga Nidra is a path towards inner harmony and balance and greater Self-leadership in all areas of your life.
Course FAQ
-
Nope! This mini course is designed for anyone. One of my favorite things about Yoga Nidra mediation is that it is like a power nap—but way cooler, lol. Literally all that is required of you is that you lie down and get comfortable.
-
Totally. Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system and puts you into a deeply healing and integrative ventral vagal state while also stimulating the pineal glad to release more melatonin. It has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and sleep issues.
-
Yoga Nidra is a practice, meaning it is something that gets easier and more effective with repetition. Studies show that regular meditation practice literally changes the brain to become more calm and less reactive, so be patient and stay curious!
